Work of the Church State Council
Because eternal vigilance is still the price of liberty, the Church State Council works diligently in courts, legislatures, and through public education to promote your religious freedom. How do we accomplish this?
- Legal Services. The Council provides legal and counseling services to those suffering religious discrimination or harassment, and files briefs in appellate courts involving important religious freedom issues.
- Legislative. The Council monitors legislation in its five-state southwestern territory – Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah -- and mobilizes effective grassroots responses to both state and Federal legislation impacting religious freedom.
- Education. The Council seeks to educate through a wide range of media and personal appearances, including production of Freedom’s Ring, a nationally syndicated weekly radio broadcast devoted to religious freedom issues; frequent articles in religious and secular publications, production of public service radio ads promoting religious freedom, and a book: “Politics and Prophecy: the battle for religious liberty and an authentic gospel.”
