FAMILY LAW CONFLICTS WHERE RELIGION IS CENTRAL
The Church State Council has increasingly been consulted in child custody matters where one parent is allegedly hostile to the religious teaching and practices of the other parent. This is a very emotional and sensitive issue. Parents want to preserve the right to teach their children to love and respect God. How these rights are interpreted by Family Courts depends a great deal on the specific circumstances of each case.
